November 30, 2021 – Independent Bankers Capital Fund IV, L.P. (“IBCF”) is pleased to announce its investment in Salt Lake City-based Vortex Racing, (“Vortex”). Established in 1995, Vortex is a leading manufacturer, assembler, importer and distributor of branded aftermarket parts and components for both street motorcycles and dirt motorcycles. The Company’s products are primarily targeted at the performance racing market and are marketed under the brands Vortex Racing and VortexEK, with end users ranging from amateur motorcycle enthusiasts to some of the world’s most accomplished professional riders. Vortex branded parts are well-recognized within the racing community and have contributed to an abundance of championship wins for sponsored riders across all formats of motorcycle racing.
IBCF’s investment was used to fund a Sponsor led buyout of a founding shareholder and provide additional growth capital. The existing management team will continue to lead the Company’s growth strategy.
